There are slides that turn and spiral, and the people riding them scream with excitement the whole way around. I kept thinking about the force of it. Then I took the force off the ride and put it in the air. What would a wind moving that fast do if it came down on open ground. The soil would be lifted and thrown, the land would lose its shape, the whole surface would be rearranged by something passing over it. This painting is my answer to that question.
