Vivid Echoes brought together four Sri Lankan artists at San Metie Contemporary Art Gallery, on the Sapumal Foundation premises in Colombo 7. Across a single room, four distinct practices held to their own material languages, from vivid figuration to drawing and richly worked surfaces, meeting in colour and shared ground.

Tennakoon’s paintings, richly textured surfaces built by hand in a warm, earthen palette, extended the concerns of her wider practice into the shared room.
